Around The Corner Patterned Note Card

Today I have for you a fun note card using the Around The Corner Stamp Set.

This card uses one of the images in the stamp set to create a fun pattern. Just by repeating the pattern with some of our fab new colours gives a really nice effect. I can even see the pattern working for a Christmas card if stamped in blues and silvers for a snow flake effect.
I love how this card has come together using stamping, designer series paper and those wonderful corner sentiments.

You will need:
Thick Whisper White Card Stock (140490) - C6 Top folding card base.
Whisper White Card Stock (106549)
Calypso Coral Card Stock (124392) - 1 7/8" x 5 7/8"
                                                            - 2 1/4" x 2 1/4"
2028-2020 In-Colour Designer Series Paper - 1 3/4" x 5 7/8"

Pearl Basic Jewels (144219)

Inks: Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover and Calypso Coral.

So that is our card for today. Its only a few days till you can get your hands on all the new goodies :) Do not forget to use the hostess code when shopping with me online to get some extra goodies from me, and also your card stock swatch for shopping with me during the month of June.

Birthday Arrow Card

Today I have for you a quick and simple card using the fabulous Around The Corner Stamp Set. I love how fun and simple this card is, and its a suitable size to use as a money wallet!

I always love trying to use stamps in a different way, particularly love the look of a word/sentiment background. As soon as I saw these corner sentiments I just had to try this.
Easily hand stamped, but would work even better on our new Stamparatus, especially if batch making! Line up the sentiment to form an arrow, then cut the card stock to a point following the lines of the sentiment - no measurement needed. Use some lovely coordinating DSP and finish off the card by adding some embellishments that go well with the theme and colours. You could even add ribbon down the side for that something extra!
There are so many colour combinations you could try, making it suitable for anyone at any age. The colours I have used go perfectly together for a male birthday card, reminding me of my Brother (who loves Green)! This colour combination features one of our fab new In-colours, Call Me Clover.

You will need:
Call Me Clover Card Stock - 6 3/4" x 5 7/8" folded in half to create your card base.
Whisper White Card Stock (106549) - 3 1/4" x 5 1/2"
2028-2020 In-Colour Designer Series Paper - 3 1/4" x 2 1/2"

Tutti-frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequins (145609)

Inks: Call Me Clover, Mint Macron and Crushed Curry.

So that is our card for today. Hopefully it got you thinking of other ways to use those sentiment stamps :) Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Happy Crafting,

Colour Revamp & New Ink Pads

As you may have heard by now, Stampin' Up! has undergone a colour revamp!

In order to keep bringing us the most current and on trend colours, Stampin' Up! has decided on some major colour changes. We now have a whole new variety of shades to inspire our creativity! I am so excited to talk though some of these changes and show you the beautiful new colour range Stampin' Up! has to offer.

THE REVAMP BASICS
With this revamp, we will see the return of some of our old favourites along with the addition of some new never before seen shades.

Along with many other Demonstrators, I am happy to see the return of Mint Macaron, a gorgeous colour that may just be my new favourite! New colours, never before seen invite a whole new spectrum of fresh shades to create with, these include:

If you are familiar with Stampin' Up! colours you will also notice a few colours have been re-organised to better reflect the colour family they belong too, with Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Basic Black becoming their own unique colour family.

OUT WITH THE OLD
In order to make room for new colours, we have to say goodbye to a few. From 31st May 2018 we will be losing thirteen core colours, along with the 2016-2018 In-colours.

The core colours leaving us; Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Elegant Eggplant, Island Indigo, Marina Mist, Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette, Rose Red, Soft Sky, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi and Wisteria Wonder! I know there are a few I will be sad to see go! Now is the time to grab those ink pads and re-inkers for the ones you just can't live without, before they are no longer available.

IN-COLOURS
The In-colours will continue to be introduced every year, with each lasting two years. Our current In-colours are;

A few of the popular past In-colours have been re-added and now form part of the core colours; Mossy Meadow, Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana, Mint Macaron and Blackberry Bliss.

NEW INK PAD DESIGN
In addition to all the fab new colours, the ink pad design has become simpler, easier to open (and close), and now stack! We also wont have to put up with bubbles on the surface of the pad as they now contain an anti-foaming solution.

Check out Stampin' Up!'s video below for more information.

CARD STOCK SWATCHES
Swatches are not only ideal for checking colours if you are unsure what colour you are holding, but also handy for creating colour combinations and of course, for viewing the full beautiful range of Stampin' Up! card stock!
To celebrate the launch of our fab new annual catalogue and colour revamp, everyone who shops with me during the month of June will receive a handmade card stock swatch as seen below, along with their thank you goodies.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope this post has helped to give you the basic rundown of our colour revamp :)

Happy Crafting,

More fun with In The City stamp set

I have had this stamp set for a while and have only just got it out to play with! I know, I can't believe it! So, no video tutorial today, but I still wanted to share with you some note card ideas using the In The City Stamp Set (143771).

A fantastic set of 60 stamps that can be used to create cards featuring a single country house or a busy city.
I love the design of the images, giving the effect that they have been hand drawn or doodled. There are so many fun ways you can use the images on your project. This set allows you to have the option to use the image outline and colour it in with your markers, aqua painters or blends, or you can use two step stamping to fill in the colour for a quick and easy card. The sentiments and additional images in the set makes In The City very versatile, suitable for a number of occasions!
Check out my creations below for some fun note card ideas;

For this card I used white embossing powder on black card stock to create a night cityscape. Layer the buildings and pop up the front row for added dimension.
White and gold embossing powder was used for the fireworks on Night of Navy card stock, adding a little bit of colour.
I love how this card turned out. It could be used for a new job in the city, to congratulate on a move... pretty much any celebratory occasion.

Using our thinner note cards, these next two use Bermuda Bay and Berry Burst for a clean and simple, yet colourful note card. Simple yet fun, these would be perfect thank you cards for someone who helped you move or house sat while you were away. The one on the right could be used if you are a Demo holding Coffee & Craft events, as a thank you to the cafe.

In The City is a host stamp set and is only available with Stampin' Rewards. Place a £150 order and you can get this set absolutely FREE with your reward credit. There is only a few weeks left to grab this set so click shop now on the top right of this blog - I will even send you some extra goodies as a thank you for shopping with me!
