Elegant Petal Palette Card

Sharing a little later than planned; the last project for our Mother's Day/ any occasion cards, and this has to be my favourite one. 

This project was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest by Shannon Key (Photo on left). I just loved the layout and had to recreate it using the beautiful Petal Passion Suite.
Todays card is simple yet elegant featuring the Petal Palette stamp set (145788). It uses designer series paper, stamping, colouring and embellishments. With such a lovely card I just had to add a little touch to the envelope.
A perfect card for Mother's Day, Birthdays or Anniversary's. 

Here is what you will need:

Thick Whisper White Cardstock (140490) - C6 Cardbase

Whisper White Card Stock (106549) - 4" x 4 5/8" (See below for cutting instructions)
Petal Passion Designer Series Paper (145589) - 4" x 3 1/4"

Whisper White Organza Ribbon (145590)

Glitter and Clear Epoxy Shapes (145632) 

Stampin' Write Markers: Old Olive and Berry Burst.

Inks: Memento Black and Berry Burst.

Cutting Instructions:
The Whisper White piece is cut to point. To do this I used a pencil to mark a dot 3" from the top on one side and 3 5/8" from the top on the other side. On the bottom mark at 2 3/8" from the left. Line each side mark with the bottom one and cut to get the angle and point.

Lovely Wishes Note Card

Continuing our Mother's Day/ any occasion cards...

This project features the Lovely Wishes Stamp Set (145924) to make a simple floral note card! 

Another simple design spruced up with a few Glitter Enamel Dots and some Wink of Stella! Loving the sparkle. The supplies are minimal making it easy and ideal to batch make. It would make a lovely set of note cards to gift, and can be made in lots of different colours.

Whisper White Card Stock (106549) - 3 3/4" x 5 1/2"
Delightful Daisy DSP (144137) - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

Continuing our Mother's Day/ any occasion cards... this card was inspired by Lisa Maria Smith.

This card is simple yet easily spruced up with all that lovely shiny foil. Also using the Heart Happiness Stamp Set (145769) to tie it all together with the designer series paper. This card would naturally be perfect for Valentine's day, but also for Mother's Day!

Petal Palette Note Cards

Over the next couple of weeks I will be bringing you a selection of projects, suitable for Mother's Day, but ones that can easily be altered to fit any occasion by changing up the sentiment! 

Our first project features the lovely Petal Palette Stamp Set (145788) to make a colourful note card, or change up the sentiment to fit any occasion, even Mother's Day!  

I am really liking cards with lots of white space at the moment. It keeps the design clean and crisp with out over doing it. Plus it also draws better attention to your chosen focal point! The Hardwood Background Stamp (133035) on this card adds a light detail to the background, framing our floral centre. Of course I had to add a few Epoxy shapes and Wink of Stella to the flowers to add just enough sparkle to make it something special for Mother's Day :D
This design would also make a lovely set of note cards to gift, or to keep for yourself. So, lets get creating...

Mother's day Card Series - Card #5

Mother’s Day Card Series

The fifth and final card in the series! Another simple make for mother's day.
This card came from a card sketch challenge which was put up on our demonstrators Facebook page, just as a little fun and to see what people come up with. Its a fab way to get inspiration from people with different styles.

For this card we will be using the Oh So Succulent Stamp Set (142992) along with the sale-a-bration stamp sets Delicate Details and Avant Garden. The card sketch we were given was from mftstamps.com. 

You will also need;

Very Vanilla 
* Card base (top folding) - 5 7/8 x 4
* Centre piece - 3 1/2 x 2 1/4
* Banner - 3 1/4 x 3/4 of an inch

Crumb cake cardstock - 4 1/2 x 3/4 of an inch

Bermuda Bay cardstock - 1 x 1

Ink: Crumb Cake, Bermuda Bay and Old Olive

Decorative Label Punch was used on the ends of the Crumb cake banner.

Mother's Day Card Series - Card #4

Mother’s Day Card Series

Something not Pink for the forth card of the series! 

I know it is a very simple card but I actually like the clean and simple look of it. Super fun to make, many of the women in my family are not massive lovers of the colour Pink so I wanted to use a colour that could suit anyone. 

For this card we will be using the Balloon Celebration Stamp Set (140675) and the sentiment from the Oh So Succulent Stamp Set (142992).

You will also need;

Thick Whisper White - top folding card size 5 7/8 x 4

Crushed Curry cardstock - 2 7/8 x 4 1/8

Whipser White cardstock – 2 5/8 x 3 3/4

Ink: Crushed Curry and Basic Grey

Mother's Day Card Series - Card #3

We are on to the third card of the series, an adorable little tea cup card! I am a Tea-a-holic and just love cards and stamps that have anything to do with Teacups, so when I saw this PDF on Pinterest I just had to use it!

For this card we will be using the lovely Oh So Succulent Stamp Set (142992) and Delicate Details Stamp Set (143314).

I absolutely love how this card turned out and I am defiantly going to have a play around with different designs. The Delicate Details stamp set was perfect for adding that fine detail to the top of the card and you can use any flower stamp set and dies to decorate. A simple yet elegant card for Mother’s Day! 
I just love how cute it is!

Mother's Day Card Series - Card #2

Mother’s Day Card Series

Today I have the second card in my ‘Makes for Mum’ Mother’s Day card series, using the popular Oh So Succulent Stamp Set (142992). Apologies for a few jumps in the video, it was probably not the best day to film. One of those days as soon as you hit record there are a ton of interruptions…but finally managed to get a video done! :D

For this project you will also need;

Thick Whisper White: 6 x 6

Crumb Cake cardstock

Whipser White cardstock

Ink: Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Sweet Sugarplum

Sale-a-bration Metallic Ribbon

I love how versatile wreaths can be; they literally can be adapted for any occasion. The main star of this card is the beautiful ‘Oh So Succulent’ stamp set – which I just love!

Using a basic masking technique you can really add layers to the wreath without actually adding layers – if you get my drift. I also used ‘two step stamping’ giving shading and depth to the images. 

This stamp set allows more design options for you to craft with, giving you an outline image which you can use to colour in, or to make the most out of a single coloured ink pad with two step stamping (as seen in the video).

Mother's Day Card Series - Card #1

Mother’s Day Card Series

 

The first card in my ‘Makes for Mum’ Mother’s Day card series, showcasing the Sale-a-bration Avant Garden Stamp Set (143272). You will also need;

Thick Whisper White for Card base: 8 1/4 x 6 7/8

Flirty Flamingo cardstock: 3 3/4 x 5 1/2

Whipser White cardstock: 3 6/8 x 5 1/4

Ink: Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive and Basic Grey.

Jar from ‘Jar of Haunts’ or ‘Jar of Love’ Stamp Sets

This card is a simple card perfect for beginners using minimal supplies. I used a basic masking technique to help give depth to the image and I love how it turned out.

You could add embellishments and Wink of Stella to really glam up the card, and adding different shades of flowers would make them pop! Also cutting out the jar and/or flowers and popping them up on dimensionals could really change the look of the card. All these ‘extras’ help alter the card if you are looking for something a little more advanced.
